The Borough of Brownsville, a Blueprint Community, offers location and opportunity. Coupled with easy/direct access to PA 43 Toll Road and US 40, there are ample development and redevelopment opportunities in the riverfront town’s downtown, Northside and Southside districts.

The Redevelopment Authority of Fayette County is marketing 28 properties in the downtown’s commercial district for redevelopment. A marketing analysis, completed in 2012, details each property’s rehabilitation prospects, demolition costs, surveys and appraisals as well as establishes design guidelines for the commercial district. The properties along Market, High and Front streets and Brownsville Avenue are part of a National Register Historic District, one of two in the borough.

Andrew French, the authority’s executive director, is fielding all inquiries from interested developers and investors: 724-437-1547 or
