BASD’s Students In Action team breaks ground on the Teen Space project, a $345,000 addition to Brownsville Free Public Library.

With the hotel venue canceling three days before the event, the 2020 junior-senior prom became a night to remember in the community. Tents, tables, food and professional services were donated so the prom could be held, as planned. The venue was moved to downtown’s Snowdon Square for some dancing in the park.
BAHS Junior-Senior Prom
Nearly 100 people were on hand June 12 to celebrate a resurgence of small businesses in Brownsville. Three hours of back-to-back ribbon cuttings – a total of 11 – were held to welcome the businesses to town.

May 2020 was a month to remember: Memorial Day, a Zoom Baccalaureate, a COVID-19-restricted graduation for the BAHS Class of 2020 and lower grades. The community rallied to make each event as memorable as possible. The Google album is a way to memorialize the BAHS graduates who’ve exceeded the challenges of finishing their senior year during the pandemic.
